Our Social Responsibility

Since the establishment of Bao Bei Reading Wonderland in 1999, Bao Bei has been actively participating in CSR projects, charity work and volunteering. From bringing joy through storytelling to involving in flood relief project, the Bao Bei family has demonstrated great compassion and generosity. We believe that together we are able to make powerful changes, inspire and empower the community of Malaysia.

Little Volunteers

Children from Dream House of the Hidden Star and their disabled friends had the opportunity to experience being "little bosses" for a day. The event featured art exhibitions and talent performances by the children, as well as the sale of children's books and professional massage services for the visually impaired. Students from the Bao Bei Reading Wonderland joined as young volunteer marketing teams, learning and experiencing how to master sales techniques, making this event even more meaningful.

6th Charity Luncheon with Elderly and Orphans

The 6th "Gratitude Luncheon with Orphans and the Elderly" co-organized by Yayasan Nanyang Press and Bao Bei Reading Wonderland was enthusiastically sponsored by 92 kind-hearted public, gathering 91 orphans and 36 elderly people to feel the warmth of the world.

Dream Garden For the Hidden Star

Dream House for the Hidden Stars was set up by Yayasan Nanyang Press as a platform for children with learning disablities from lower income families to learn for free. Here, the autistic children are called “The Star” because they are hard to predict and understand, just like the stars flickering high up in the sky.

16 Navigators

To help the less fortunate efficiently, the 【16 Navigators Visit With Compassion】 was set up on 27th March 2012 to visit medical patients around West Malaysia monthly. On the last Sunday of every month, the Foundation will visit poor families to spread the spirit of giving and sharing.

Love With No Barrier

Everyone has a dream, and the greatest hope of disabled people is to have a barrierfree living environment; they want to live independently without relying on others, and they also want to be a part of the society rather than a burden on society.

Happy Family Charity Movie Day

In conjunction with this year’s teaching theme, Bao Bei Reading Wonderland co-organized “Happy Family Charity Movie Day” with Nanyang Press Foundation on 10 June 2012. This event has received enthusiastic support from TGV CINEMA, a partner unit, and invited more than 400 orphans and poor single-parent families to TGV Cinema, KLCC to watch animation films and spend happy time with Bao Bei’s students and parents, and share the fun.

5th Charity Luncheon with Elderly and Orphans

Yayasan Nanyang Press with the greatest support from Bao Bei Reading Wonderland, continues to uphold the spirit of the previous year’s event by once again organizing “The Gratitude & Contentment Charity Luncheon for Elderly and Orphans”.

Charity Run

Yayasan Nanyang Press organized the “O’ Sweet Days Charity Run” on 27 March 2016 (Sunday). The main idea and objectives of this charity run were to raise funds for Dream House for the Hidden Stars, to promote a healthy lifestyle and to increase public awareness on disadvantaged groups within the society.

Happy Family Heathy Family Charity Day

Generation gap always happened in a family because of the family members do not know each other well and this lead to other family problems as well. Since the establishment of Yayasan Nanyang Press, we have been dealing with people from different profession and background.

4th Charity Luncheon with Elderly and Orphans

Yayasan Nanyang Press once again organized “The Gratitude & Contentment Charity Luncheon for Elderly and Orphans” on 15th November 2015, to be held at Unique Seafood Damansara Restaurant & Banquet.

Flood Relief Mission

Many areas on the East Coast are deeply affected by floods, Yayasan Nanyang Press has allocated funds in advance to purchase various relief materials, such as drinking water, food, medicine, bed sheets, etc. to relieve 3,000 victims.
